TDC Airline Services Company Limited Donates Emergency Response Kit to Port Health Team at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport

As part of its continued commitment to national health and safety, TDC Airline Services Company Limited donated a Scherber Fully Stocked Premium First Responder Backpack EMT/EMS Medic Trauma and Oxygen Medical Professional Kit to the Port Health Team stationed at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on Friday, 19 June 2026.

The equipment was formally presented to Dr. Hazel Laws, Chief Medical Officer, by Mr. Christopher P. Lewis, Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO), during a brief handover ceremony held at the TDC Training Room on Fort Street in Basseterre.

During the ceremony, Dr. Laws expressed the Ministry of Health’s appreciation for the timely donation and acknowledged TDC’s ongoing support for organizations and agencies that contribute to the Federation’s safety and development.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Health, I extend our sincere gratitude to TDC, and in particular TDC Airlines, for this generous donation of a Scherber Emergency Response Kit in support of our Port Health Team based at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport,” Dr. Laws said.

She added, “In today’s interconnected world, international travel is a way of life, bringing the Eastern Caribbean islands, including St. Kitts and Nevis, closer together than ever before. With the increased movement of people, goods, and services comes a shared responsibility to maintain strong public health surveillance and emergency preparedness at our ports of entry. Like any international airport, the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport is a high-risk, high-traffic environment where unexpected emergencies can occur at any time. In such situations, the Port Health Team may be required to respond immediately, often before external emergency services, including ambulances, arrive on the scene. This Scherber Emergency Response Kit provides our health personnel with essential tools and supplies to effectively manage medical emergencies and other critical situations that may arise at the airport. It will enhance our preparedness, strengthen our response capacity, and contribute to the safety and well-being of travelers, airport staff, and the wider public. The Ministry of Health is deeply appreciative of this thoughtful and timely donation.”

“We regard TDC as a valued stakeholder and partner in our efforts to strengthen health surveillance services and safeguard public health. Your commitment to initiatives that enhance national preparedness and resilience is commendable, and this contribution demonstrates your dedication to the health and safety of our communities,” she continued.

In response, Mr. Lewis said, “Thank you, Dr. Laws, for graciously accepting this contribution to the Ministry of Health on behalf of the Port Health Team based at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport. We truly value this strategic partnership and remain committed to advancing the Federation as we continue to live by our corporate mantra, Together We Succeed.”

Immediately after the presentation, Mr. Lester Hanley, TDC Chief Transportation and Logistics Officer (CTLO), showcased the Scherber kit’s contents and abilities to Dr. Laws, and representatives from the Port Health Ministry of Health and TDC Airline Services Company Limited.

The donation reflects TDC Airline Services Company Limited’s commitment to strengthening the preparedness and operational effectiveness of frontline health personnel, who play a critical role in safeguarding the Federation’s borders and supporting the health and well-being of travelers entering and departing the Federation.
