TDC Group Champions Youth Development Through Football Camp Sponsorship

Just weeks after giving its commitment to the support Youth Cricket on Nevis, the TDC Group has signed on as a corporate sponsor of two impactful summer football initiatives; the MPWR Girls Football Camp and the 3rd  Annual Crime Prevention Soccer Camp, taking place during the summer holiday period across St. Kitts.

The MPWR (Empower) Girls Football Camp, spearheaded by National footballer Phoenetia Browne, who developed the programme which is designed exclusively for young girls aged 8 to 16. The camp aims to inspire female participation in football, boost self-confidence, and teach critical life skills through team-building exercises, interactive workshops, and mentorship opportunities.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Annual Crime Prevention Soccer Camp, organised in partnership with the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, through Inspector John Bergan, the Camp Coordinator, focuses on steering youth away from anti-social behaviour by offering a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The camp engages over one hundred boys and girls from various communities and combines football training with motivational presentations from law enforcement officers, community leaders, and positive role models.

According to Ms. Xarielle  Blanchette, the Acting Client Relations and Marketing Manager, the company’s support of these camps aligns with its core values of community building, youth empowerment, and holistic development.

“We believe in the power of sport to transform lives and create pathways to success. Whether it’s encouraging young girls to break barriers in football or helping at-risk youth develop discipline and confidence, TDC is proud to invest in programmes that create a lasting impact,” Blanchette stated.

Both camps also promote values such as teamwork, discipline, leadership, and respect, while keeping participants engaged in meaningful, fun activities during the summer months. Through its support, TDC continues to foster an inclusive and safer society where all youth regardless of background are given the tools and opportunities to succeed in life.
