Doctors, nurses, health care professionals and visitors to the Joseph N France Hospital will notice a dramatic artistic change to the walls linking the maternity and pediatric wards, thanks to a partnership between the TDC Home and Building Depot and the St. Kitts Basseterre Leo Club.
The initiative is designed to transform the walls of the buildings using popular cartoon characters, including Dora the Explorer, Blue Heeler Puppy, from Bluey, Chase from Paw Patrol and Tweety Bird from Looney Toons into a welcoming space creating an environment that supports healing and emotional well-being for young patients and their families.
The TDC Home and Building Depot’s donation provided the paint needed to bring the Leo Club’s creative vision to life. By supporting this project, the retail store continues its longstanding tradition of investing in projects that enhance community spaces and improve quality of life.
Representatives from the Leo Club expressed gratitude for the partnership, noting that the contribution enables young volunteers to make a meaningful impact within the healthcare setting.
The collaboration also highlights the power of corporate and youth organizations working together to serve the community. It further underscores the shared commitment of all partners to nurturing a caring and supportive environment for children receiving medical care.
TDC Home and Building Depot remains dedicated to supporting programmes that inspire creativity, compassion, and community pride.
